General Info
The Daily Noobs is built around the fact that we are a group of gaming enthusiasts who happen to love creating unique online communities which are both friendly and mature. Our latest attempt -- this website -- employs both commodity and custom software to enable us to provide this unique experience.
The Staff
Our staff is partially comprised of staff members from the Video Game Forums gaming site as well as regular, respected members from that same site. We've decided that, while that site may be popular in and of itself, we'd like to try something new, something we couldn't have accomplished over there.
The staff currently consists of six members:
www.TheDailyNoobs.com is based on The phpBB Group's latest release of their free forum software, phpBB3 "Olympus". We use Olympus's basic features such as database access, user information, and the templating engine to extend, edit, and create new features for our members. For instance, the entire News section of this website was a custom creation for this website by the staff.
It is important to also note that since this website is considered a derivative work of phpBB3 it is also licensed under the Gnu General Public License.
