BioWare announced today, that a DLC pack for Mass Effect is set for release on March 10th. The pack, titled "Bring Down The Sky" adds an additional hour and a half of action to the great game, along with 50 additional gamerscore points to be won. BioWare says that this is the first installment of a planned series, meaning more untold adventures are down the road.
This pack will add a new world to the mix, featuring a race of aliens called Batarians. The Batarians, who have 4 eyes and a head that looks like what I'd image a Klingon vagina to resemble, have taken control of a mobile asteroid station in the Asgard system and set it on a collision course for Terra Nova.
Only Commander Shepard and the crew of the Normandy can save the peoples of Terra Nova, and curb-stomp the Batarians back to what ever rock they've come from.
I loved Mass Effect, and I'm glad to see some DLC coming to liven it up. But, yet again, here is a case of studios missing the mark by putting DLC out way too late. DLC needs to start coming within a month of a game's release, else you risk lost interest and gamers trading their copies in.
