General Rules
The Daily Noobs Staff retains the right to determine the severity of all offenses and the associated punishment. Rules are subject to change at any time and it is the sole responsibility of the user to verify compliance with the rules; we will, however, try to make announcements for all changes and give warnings before taking more severe action.
Also while these rules cover most common situations, they cannot anticipate everything. Consequently we reserve the right to take any actions we deem appropriate to ensure these forums are not disrupted or abused in any way. This includes, but is not limited to, removing features for problem users, sending warnings, temporary suspensions, temporary bannings, and permanent bannings.
- While debating and discussion are fine, we will not tolerate rudeness or otherwise taunting or insulting posts. Personal attacks and inflammatory posts are also against the rules.
- Please refrain from posting meaningless threads and one word (or short) non-sense posts. While there is no "minimum word" limit , we ask that you make your post meaningful and worth reading.
- Posts should be written in a legible manner. Unreadable posts due to lack of punctuation, use of “l33t sp33k”, excessive incorrect spelling, or in violation of another rule are considered "spam" and will be dealt with accordingly.
- Double posting will not be permitted. If you have something to add to your post, please use the edit button rather than posting a new message within minutes of your previous one. In addition, "spamming" in order to increase your post count is not permitted. (See above for definition of "spam")
- Advertising is not allowed. This includes posting in the forums and news discussion sections along with using the forum email and private messaging system for the purpose of advertisement.
- We also do not allow posts that are overly offensive or sexual in nature or violate The Daily Noobs community standards. While the staff shall be the sole arbitrator of what does and what does not violate community standards, users are asked to exercise common sense and courtesy. Furthermore, users may request a staff member to review content for the purpose of judging the validity of said content.
- Discussion of illegal activities such as software and music piracy and other intellectual property violations are not allowed.
- Furthermore, it is a violation of the rules to post or otherwise spread information on how to hack and/or cheat/glitch in any game as well as discussing and or instructing towards any other activities that are deemed to be illegal in the United States of America or International Law.
- Each member is allowed one login account. Registering with multiple accounts is not permitted.
- Users are limited to two graphics in their signature. These include "mini-sigs". Both graphics and/or text are not to exceed eight lines of text.
- The size limits for signatures is as follows:
- Maximum width: 500 pixels
- Maximum height: 200 pixels
- You may post links in your signatures to advertise as long as they do not link to websites which would otherwise be against the forum rules (i.e.: illegal or offensive material).
